All About the Hollow

Helena Hollow was established in 2014 by Jamie & Amy Griffin. The Griffins took the opportunity to move onto family land in Helena, Alabama with their young daughters, Sawyer and Cricket. After slowly developing a collection of animals, the family cleaned out a pole barn on the property and began hosting events. The business eventually grew into a full-fledged petting zoo party business which then evolved into a pumpkin patch, wedding venue, and all-inclusive entertainment farm for the Birmingham metro area. In keeping with traditions set years ago by Jamie's grandfather Mr. Frank R Griffin, Jamie & Amy enjoy sharing the family's beautiful property with the community and strive to run a welcoming business.

Staff

Sawyer & Cricket Griffin can often be found assisting our other employees with various tasks around the farm. During The Patch, they are most often "needed" at the pony rides & trampoline bungee.

Anne Deskin is a Party Pro and works nearly every weekend at the farm. With a knack for keeping things orderly and a natural ability to connect with children, Anne makes all parties a blast and thoroughly enjoys visiting with guests! During the week, Anne coaches gymnastics for a reputable gym in the area, but from August-October Anne is the Field Trip Coordinator and schedules all school events at the farm!

Ashlyn Spence is a Party Pro and works many private events at the farm. With a genuine love for animals and kids combined with a great work ethic, Ashlyn is an asset to the Hollow and is a Jack of All Trades. In her spare time Ashlyn enjoys taking care of her horses and rodeoing. She homeschools and can likely be found in the fall during any and all field trips!

Chloe Boyd is the niece of Jamie and Amy Griffin. Chloe is a hard worker and knows her way around the farm! She homeschools and is a cheerleader. Chloe works every single field trip and can most often be found in the ticket booth during public events answering all the questions or working any and all attractions throughout the fall.

Guy Boyd is the nephew of Jamie and Amy. Guy is a student at the University of Montevallo and is in the Outdoor Scholarship Program. He enjoys horses and hunting in his spare time. During the week, he can be found on the farm cutting grass, maintaining the grounds and caring for the animals. During events Guy is most often driving a tractor and leading a hayride!

Robby Devore is a right-hand man when it comes to farm maintenance. He can be found repairing any leaks, fixing any issues, and solving any problems. Robby also helps to maintain the grounds in the "off-season" and often tends to the animals as well.
